James Folsom

Asst Project Superintendent / Safety Coordinator
With more than 20 years of experience in construction, manufacturing, and field supervision, James Folsom brings a steady hand and a craftsman’s mindset to his role as Superintendent at Stansell Construction. Known for his strong work ethic and attention to detail, James ensures that every project runs efficiently, safely, and with exceptional quality from start to finish. Before joining Stansell, James worked as a Level 2 NDT Technician at U.S. Steel, where he maintained high standards for product quality and equipment performance. He also served as a Production Supervisor at Priefert Manufacturing, overseeing daily operations, safety compliance, and team coordination to meet demanding production goals. This broad experience has shaped his expertise in project quality control, subcontractor organization, and fleet management, all of which he brings to every jobsite. For James, the best part of his job is seeing each step of a project completed on schedule and to plan—watching an idea on paper become something real through teamwork and precision. Outside of work, James and his wife Beth enjoy life surrounded by their four boys and twin girls. They spend their free time hunting, fishing, shooting, and cooking out, and love heading to the beach whenever they get the chance. When asked how his career in construction began, James laughs: “I met Justin through his dad in a hay field.” It’s a story that captures his roots perfectly—humble beginnings, hard work, and a lifelong dedication to building something lasting.
